Idea #1 - Learn About The Fruits Of The Spirit
The best thing about Valentine’s Day is that this holiday is centered around one of the fruits of the spirit which is Love. The fruits of the spirit are listed in Galatians 5:22-23, and we can learn a lot about the fruits of the spirit, especially love. Valentine’s Day can be used as a great way to learn about the fruits of the spirit, since that holiday is centered around love, and love is one of the fruits of the spirit.
Idea #2 - Make Valentine’s Day Cards With An Encouraging Verse
If you make a Valentine’s Day card, then you can place an encouraging verse, and keep the verse in context because taking scripture out of context leads to twisting scripture, and twisting scripture is very deceptive. You should also make sure that the card is lovely so this way your significant other can enjoy it.
Idea #3 - Watch An Inspiring Christian Movie
As Christians, we could also celebrate Valentine’s Day by watching an inspiring Christian Movie and you should also make sure that the movie is a genuine Christian Movie, this means that the movie shouldn’t have any blasphemy, cuss words, false teaching, immodesty, sex scenes, nor anything that should not be in a Christian movie. If you want to try watching a new movie that is considered a Christian movie, then try to check the movie review websites to see if it is really a Christian movie, and in order for a movie to be a Christian movie, the movie has to pass the Philippians 4:8 test. If you check a movie that is considered a Christian movie on a movie review website and find out that the movie fails the Philippians 4:8 test, then do not watch that movie. If you find out that a movie fails the Philippians 4:8 test while watching the movie, then you should stop watching that movie.
Idea #4 Listen To Biblically Sound Preaching On Social Media Or A Christian Website
It is a very good idea to listen to biblically sound preaching anywhere online, when listening to preachers, we should test their teachings with scripture so this way we don’t get deceived. 1 John 4:1 proves this, and we should also watch out for false teachers as well. Matthew 7:15 warns about false teachers. If you decide to listen to preachers online, then here is a list of preachers who I would recommend listening to and then a list of preachers who you should avoid listening to. The YouTube Channel will be listed next to the preacher if the preacher has a YouTube channel that I have seen, and I will only do this with certain preachers
List Of Preachers & Ministries Who I Recommend Listening To
Joe Kirby (Off The Kirb Ministries)
Ray Comfort (Living Waters)
Ken Ham (Answers In Genesis)
Jerren Lewis (AoC Network)
Voddie Baucham
Eric Hovind (Creation Today Ministry)
Good Fight Ministries
Isaac David (Daily Disciple)
Genesis Apologetics
Charles Lawson (Zion4131)
Justin Peters (Justin Peters Ministries)
List Of Preachers & Ministries Who You Should Avoid Listening To
Pope Francis
Sadie Robertson
Joel Osteen
Brenda Davies (God Is “Grey”)
Dr. Gene Kim (“REAL” Bible Believers)
Bruce Mejia (First Works BC)
Andy Stanley
Steven Anderson
Kathryn Krick
Joyce Meyer
Kenneth Copeland
Creflo Dollar
Michael Todd (Transformation “Church”)
Marcus Rogers
You should also avoid listening to female preachers since 1 Timothy 2:12 says that women cannot be pastors, ministers, nor hold any other leadership position in the Church. 1 Timothy 3:2-5 also proves this as well. In the list of preachers to avoid, I put quotations in the name of the channel that has an owner who either contradicts their channel name with false teaching or chose a lie for a channel name.
Idea #5 - Watch An Inspiring Christian Short Film Or TV Show
We can learn a lot from watching Christian short films or TV shows. Remember, if a short film that is considered Christian fails the Philippians 4:8 test, then that short film is not really a Christian short film, and if a TV show fails the Philippians 4:8 test, then that TV show is not really a Christian TV show.
Conclusion
Valentine’s Day is an awesome holiday to celebrate, and the best thing about that holiday is that this holiday is centered around Love, which is one of the fruits of the spirit. Christians have different convictions regarding Valentine’s Day, and this holiday is a moral gray area since it is a matter of conviction. If a Christian feels convicted against celebrating Valentine’s Day, then he or she can’t celebrate that holiday. On the other hand, If a Christian does not feel convicted against celebrating Valentine’s Day, then he or she can celebrate that holiday to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 says that we are doing something, we should do so to the glory of God, and Romans 14:13-14 teaches us about personal convictions. If you have any personal convictions against something that is a moral gray area, then do not force your personal convictions upon others, because it is legalistic to do so. For example, I feel convicted against taking the covid vaccine, and I do not force my conviction against the covid vaccine upon others because it is legalistic to do so.
Happy Valentine's Day
