Pride Comes Before The Fall

Pride is a very dangerous sin that blocks many people from seeing the truth. There are a lot of people who hang on to false doctrines because of pride. There are a lot of people who are snobby because of pride. There are also a lot of self-righteous people who are indeed filled with pride. Proverbs 16:18 warns that pride comes before the fall.

Resistance Of Pride

James 4:6 warns that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. This true fact is the number one reason why pride is a very dangerous sin. Pride can lead to a lot of problems, like snobby behavior, deception, arrogance, rude behavior, aggressive attitude, division, arguments, inflated ego, and thinking that you are impervious when you’re not. Pride can lead to snobby behavior because some people who are filled with pride have a tendency to think that they are better than everyone else when in reality they are not. For example, there are a lot of rich people who are filled with pride who have an inflated ego because of their pride.

The Doorway To Sin

Pride is the doorway to a heck ton of sins, especially an inflated ego. We obviously cannot have the sin of pride in our lives, since pride is very harmful. There are a lot of people who were hurt , bullied, or oppressed by prideful people. There are a lot of prideful people out there who treat a lot of people like 2nd class people, and there are many prideful people who are haughty. Pride is the doorway to haughtiness, snobby behavior, rebellion, rudeness, inflated ego, aggressive behavior, arrogance, anger, etc. Pride was a lot of people’s downfall, especially since pride comes before the fall. 1 John 2:15-17 proves that we should not love the world, and the pride of life is also of the world.

False Teachers Filled With Pride

Many of the false teachers, especially the O.S.A.S heretics and legalistic heretics are filled with pride. Many of the legalistic heretics are filled with pride due to self-righteousness and adding rules to the Bible, and then many of the O.S.A.S heretics are filled with pride because of arrogance. There are plenty of secular scientists and narcissists who are filled with pride. The secular scientists are filled with pride because of the false knowledge that they have, and the atheistic ones often attack Christians, especially the Young Earth Creationists. The atheistic secular scientists blatantly lie about the age of the Earth, and many other things, the atheistic secular scientists also believe in a lot of worthless fairytales like evolution, the big bang, carbon dating, etc. Evolution is a myth, just like jack and the beanstalk, cinderella, the big bang, and the tooth fairy. The atheistic secular scientists often defend their fairytales with straw man arguments that are easily demolished by the Bible, and the whole Bible is 100% true.

Warning To Repent

We must flee the sin of pride, since pride is a very dangerous sin. Pride is also the doorway to a heck ton of other sins, especially arrogance, inflated ego, division, arguments, haughtiness, etc. As Christians, we must be humble, and humility is truly beautiful. We must live humbly, and we should have the fruits of the spirit described in Galatians 5:22-23.
